FlashForward – S01E04 – Black Swan
“We need to talk … But talking to me is just one of those little inconveniences, that you’re going to have to put up with now that we’re responsible for the single greatest disaster in human history.” – Simon. Lloyd Simcoe’s involvement in the blackout doesn’t make sense. Because he himself experienced the FlashForward, and if he knew of the blackout why wasn’t he able to save his wife? protect his son? G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra
Clichéd script, flavoured with over-zealous acting. Action scenes were exciting, but the CGI was extremely poor. The story in-itself is good, but the larger-than-life acting degrades the film. Dennis Quaid is too big for his role, i felt he overdid it. Growing up, i didn’t watch much G.I. Joe so i didn’t get the nostalgic satisfaction that most of the movie goers experienced. All in all a trailer film.
Fringe – S02E05 – Dream Logic
Talk about being an addict? If your reading this, your most likely and online-addict. It’s terrible, but i doubt it hits your pleasure senses. This episode will make you jump at certain scenes. “Did you notice the poster on his wall for the Challenger mission on June 28, 1984? Only the Challenger didn’t have a mission in June of 1984. At least not in this universe.” – Andrew Hanson Hanson has made an awesome observation. We are constantly reminded that Peter is from an alternate reality. The only people who know about this, could only be William Bell & Walter Bishop. Bell did talk about, how there are side-effects to changing sides. Some people can’t survive it, and Olivia herself almost died trying. How is Peter so successful? Will he able to continue to live in “our” reality? His sleep-disorders must be a side-effect. How many more? If Bishop doesn’t know the answers, he’ll end up turning to Bell.
House – S06E04 – Instant Karma
A desperate oil billionaire bankrupts himself, in the hope that the universe will balance itself out and save his dieing son. The previous episode The Tyrant where Chase kills the president overshadows this one. House also learns about the incident, and actually proposes a cover story for the increased cholesterol level in the switched blood. Chase has been able to keep Cameron in the dark, but for how long? Chase was pretty close to telling Cameron and Cuddy. House still doesn’t have his license to practice. Thirteen also takes a flight to leave Foreman forever.
Ben Deignan – Ben Deignan
.
.
An no-name soulful metrotown boy churns out soothing and oozing tunes. I’ve been following Ben Deignan on YouTube ever since i heard his cover of Stronger. I’ve subscribed to his channel ever since. He puts Kanye’s electro-rap version to shame. His original music is also really good to listen to. “Oh my goodness … please tell me i’m dead wrong … what drives me crazy baby … Is that sexy black dress …”
“His music is addictive.” – Jeff Dauler (All the hits Q100 Atlanta)
“Ben is mother truckin’ awesome!” – John Popper (more…)
Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs
In short, i didn’t like the movie. It wasn’t really an epic adventure like the last two films. Basically they ‘Journey to the center of the Earth‘ and find Dinosaurs. Sid finds mama-rex’s eggs and he nurtures them while she’s temporarily away. They befriend Buck a weasel, who’s mortal enemy Ruudy the ancient-evil-dinosaur tries to kill the herd. In the meantime Ellie is pregnant and gives birth to Peaches. That’s basically the end of the story.
Dexter – S04E03 – Blinded By the Light
Dexter is caught by Rita breaking his neighbor’s sensor light. How will Dexter get out of this, when the real vandal is moving out. Dexter has got himself into a situation. Once again, Dexter doesn’t seem that interested in catching the Trinity Killer. He is however intrigued by Trinity’s code. Why he does, what he does. What we do learn is that Ex-Special Agent Lundy is no different than Dexter. Could we maybe see Dexter as a Federal Special Agent catching Serial Killers? Not only finding ones in Miami but all over the nation, being a United States vigilante. Then again, he does what he does to protect his local family. It would be interesting to see Dexter go against a gang or a group of people. Maybe even terrorists?
FlashForward – S01E03 – 137 Sekunden
The significance of this episode is that the blackout has happened before. It happened in October 1991 @ the Southern Ganwar region of Somalia. The Doctors traveled to the area in response to claims that the inhabitants suffered mass loss of consciousness. The last scene in this episode just shows a barely visible cloud in the sky moving. Is the boy just simply looking at the sky? Marat Gaziev posted what he believes is the connection between the crows and the blackout. In North America we know that the humans and crows are affected by the West Nile Virus. West Nile Virus has many symptoms one of which is the West Nile Meningitis. “This causes an inflammation of the protective membrane covering the brain and is most often associated with symptoms such as confusion and altered consciousness.” (more…)
