Dexter – S04E12 – The Getaway

Arthur kills Rita and leaves Harrison in pool of blood. I was speechless when i saw Rita dead, i was in denial. The writers have ripped and integral part of Dexter, and now he’s lost it all. There is no revenge! He’s already killed Arthur!

Grapevine has it that season 5 is the last season. How will Dexter end? Dexter has compromised his family, he’s responsible for Rita’s death. If he didn’t get involved with Trinity he would have protected his family. Just when Dexter was closer to getting rid of his Dark Passenger, he’s traumatized with Rita’s death.

If you don’t understand the magnitude of Rita’s death, you seriously need to rewatch Dexter from the beginning. Rita was the foundation of Dexter’s ability to keep one of his many faces (Father, Husband). Will he continue working @ homicide?

Dexter – S04E08 – Road Kill

Trinity does not shoot Debra and Lundy! Who shot Debra? Trinity’s son? Reporter? Dexter will learn this during his execution of Arthur. Why does LaGuerta decide to let Debra open this case? To get alone time with Batista? I found the ending to this episode to be un-cliffhanger-like. It was like “so what”? Dexter purposely made Arthur avoid the checkpoint, but why? To save his life? To take it away? If he’s so confused, why doesn’t he let the authorities take care of Arthur Mitchell? He can’t evade the justice system, where there is so much evidence against him. Interestingly Trinity chooses death to remorse against the deer. He values an animals life over a human?

Dexter – S04E06 – If I Had a Hammer

Dexter meticulously Up-close and personal with (Trinity) Arthur Mitchell and lands himself in a choke-hold. The trinity character is just so good. It’s like biting into a deliciously seasoned steak, good to the bone. The love story between Laguerta & Batista finally ends with them getting back to work. We learn why Trinity kills in threes, reliving how his sister, mother & father died. The hammer being the murder weapon was given to Dexter. I wonder what he’s going to use to kill Arthur? (more…)

Dexter – S04E05 – Dirty Harry

Trinity is a family man? Father? Husband? Wait, like Dexter? Up until episode 5 we’ve been seeing a specific part of Trinity’s life. Dexter is in trouble with Rita again; over his old apartment. Her accusations are fit: drug user or having an affair. How is Dexter going to get out of this? Dexter did say that if he were exposed; he was willing to let go of his family. Debra had her Emmy award winning moment this episode; it was very heavy and melodramatic. Did Trinity shoot Debra? I don’t think so! Dexter will kill Trinity in E06, which means we have another 6-7 episodes were we need a new killer. Unfortunately there is no information on Episode 6, which may mean were going to have a mid-season break.

Dexter – S04E04 – Dex Takes a Holiday

Debra gets shot, and Lundy dies! What a cliff hanger ending… How will Dexter react to this random shooting? Are they linked to the vacation murderers? Or was Trinity responsible? All hell will break loose next Sunday, we’re going to see Dexter’s “Dark Passenger” explode. Debra appears to be alive, and showing vital signs. As for Lundy, i think he’s dead. Not a bad way go though? Banging a chick a fraction of your age. But yes, i too liked Lundy. He and Dexter drew so many parallels.

Dexter – S04E03 – Blinded By the Light

Dexter is caught by Rita breaking his neighbor’s sensor light. How will Dexter get out of this, when the real vandal is moving out. Dexter has got himself into a situation. Once again, Dexter doesn’t seem that interested in catching the Trinity Killer. He is however intrigued by Trinity’s code. Why he does, what he does. What we do learn is that Ex-Special Agent Lundy is no different than Dexter. Could we maybe see Dexter as a Federal Special Agent catching Serial Killers? Not only finding ones in Miami but all over the nation, being a United States vigilante. Then again, he does what he does to protect his local family. It would be interesting to see Dexter go against a gang or a group of people. Maybe even terrorists?

Dexter – S04E02 – Remains To Be Seen

Dexter is one of us, i can only imagine the millions of mothers and fathers reminiscing Dexter’s life. Having a new-born takes on an entire set of responsibilities, and i can’t even begin to talk about how it would change lives. Dexter is experiencing it, but handling three faces: Forensics, Serial-Killer & Father? Even with all the victims; Dexter Morgan has always put his family first. He has always protected them from The Dark Passenger. His world spins out of control when he looses his memory as a result of head-trauma from a collision; where he lost consciousness because of sleep-deprivation. Harry’s code allowed him to bring stability and peace. Dexter was able to find the body, but at a price: his sanity & sleep. How much more can Dexter take? Dexter is showing very little interest in the Trinity killer, which only begs the question. Can Dexter take on the Trinity killer? With his state of mind and place is he up for the challenge?

Guilty pleasure has served a bloody platter with the season premiere of Dexter. Who would’ve thought? Dexter Morgan a father, when you were watching Season 1? The story has evolved and splattered itself something bloody brilliant. Although Dexter’s sleep-deprived state is making him loose his edge. The new serial killer who’s alias is ‘Trinity’, is a sick force to be reckoned with. Dexter put his life in one phrase, “the most successful serial killer, to get away with it”. (more…)
