A friend of mine has been bugging me to watch Chuck for a few months. I’ve searched it on HDBits several times, i even bookmarked the 720p BluRay reencode of the 1st season and never got around to it, until today. The cast is somewhat interesting, it has C.S. Lee who plays the horny forensics officer Vince Masuka in Dexter. When i saw him in Chuck, my face literally lit up. I’m not familiar with any of the other characters. Not a big fan of whomever is doing the wardrobes, because the CIA chick’s lingerie was like too old for her. Her underwear like covers her knees, and her bra literally overs her neck. Makes me appreciate HBO so much these days.

The pilot episode, somewhat impressed. The guy who played Bryce looks like Clark from Smallville. It was a little bit over clichéd the whole concept. The CGI was done very poorly when Bryce got away, and whoever directed the action scene should get killed. Chuck’s sister is too hot to be his sister. It’s like incest to have a sister that hot, and Captain Awesome? I don’t know, i don’t like the casting it’s too awkward. $11/hour with a company car? Wow, i don’t think there are allot of companies that do that. Then again i don’t know how much the Geek Squad makes.

I didn’t really like the porno virus defusing the bomb. That in my opinion was lame, and within the 43 minutes of the show, was really overdone. The fact that the viewers can’t even see anything kind of robbed it. Chuck is unfortunately not as intelligent as advertised, i mean the show doesn’t really get off it’s feet. It feels like the producers have their hands tied for a show like this, honestly it would be way more awesome in HBO. HBO has honestly spoiled me too much, i see scenes so much differently. I think we’ve had too much CIA, NSA and FBI bullshit in TV and movies these days. Before i used straighten up with a bit of respect when i see or hear the name, but now i’m like completely turned off.

Character development is going to be very key in the future of this show. I’ve read a few comments about this show and they weren’t very good. I have most of Season 1, and i’m going to put it on hold until i finish ‘The Office’. Chuck hasn’t really impressed me with the first episode. I do not like the casting one bit, the lame tough NSA guy is simply too lame. And the legally blonde CIA chick has to keep her shorts on, maybe if we saw some ass i’d like it.
