We’ve been preached in every episode that Peter is from this alternate reality and Walter made a deal with the observer to keep him here.

Will Peter finally realize he’s from an alternate reality this season? It’s like the elephant in the room every single time Walter and Peter are together. Does Peter already know?

Didn’t you guys love the alternate side of Walter, when he had full capacity of his brain. He reminded me of his character in 24, he was so bad-ass! I want that Walter so badly, instead of this sorry-clumsy one. Then again i love them both!

We finally shed some light on The Observer(s); that’s right there are more than one of them. And they: travel through time, don’t age, have hi-tech weapons, can’t die?, can catch bullets, know the future … et.al. They are nothing short of angels, watching over the human race. According to Massive Dynamics they only appeared 2x over the course of 5000 years, and in the past 3 months appeared over 26x. They alluded to the fact that Olivia is going to be in trouble in the near future. The Observers, are simply there to observe and to make sure the course of history is followed. However they also have the power to change history. Our first Observer allowed Walter to bring Peter from the alternate reality. Peter was supposed to die, and the deal made between the observer and Walter gave Peter protection.

The Observers are human? They have our physical characteristics but that’s about it. It’s pretty awesome how FOX is able to integrate The Observers into pop-culture by placing them in important events. I remember last year he was at American Idol and the Daytona 500. He was literally on the news, which was pretty cool. The Massive Dynamics dude, finds the Observers in WWI and other high-profiled assassinations. It appears the Observers are only there when a Fringe event takes place. Could it be that all of our natural and artificial problems are somehow related to Fringe science? Did we cause this?

Talk about being an addict? If your reading this, your most likely and online-addict. It’s terrible, but i doubt it hits your pleasure senses. This episode will make you jump at certain scenes. “Did you notice the poster on his wall for the Challenger mission on June 28, 1984? Only the Challenger didn’t have a mission in June of 1984. At least not in this universe.” – Andrew Hanson Hanson has made an awesome observation. We are constantly reminded that Peter is from an alternate reality. The only people who know about this, could only be William Bell & Walter Bishop. Bell did talk about, how there are side-effects to changing sides. Some people can’t survive it, and Olivia herself almost died trying. How is Peter so successful? Will he able to continue to live in “our” reality? His sleep-disorders must be a side-effect. How many more? If Bishop doesn’t know the answers, he’ll end up turning to Bell.

Before i start, i would like to remind everyone that Peter Bishop is already dead in this reality! We visited his grave last season, i believe it was in the season finale. Walter or William is responsible for bringing Peter from the alternate reality to ours. The women who Walter drugged is able to see beings and machines from alternate realities. She saw Peter glow, this also means that Peter has a bigger role to play in this pending war. Season 2 does sound like it’s going to be focusing on this war between man and machine.

Momentum Deferred, is referring to the fact when William Bell pulled Olivia Dunham out of the moving car, that momentum will be deferred when she returns to the alternate reality. Season 2 will be about a human & machine war. We don’t know why, they are here but i think more will be explained in the next episode. I still think there is going to be some significance as to the role of Peter Bishop’s mother in this alternate reality.

Fringe is going downhill one again. This reminds me of the previous season where it took them such a long time to get up, off their feet. They’ve literally crash landed back to ground zero. Imploding people? It reminds me fire-girl who lit up and killed an entire city block. Fringe is loosing it’s edge and spontaneity. The highlight of the episode is supposed to be ‘The Observer’ wanking off to pictures of Walter. I guess the significance is that people died just for pictures of Walter Bishop.

Night of Desirable Objects referring to the fish hook that Peter Bishop saved up to buy. Although they alluded to this object two times throughout the show it has very little significance. Well as far as surprises go, this episode lacked it. The “Fringe” part of this episode was pretty lame as a matter of fact. A scorpion-homosapien hybrid mammal was introduced. It looked more like Gollum from Lord of the Rings. Charlie Francis who is now the other-worldly machine now has on objective to find out what Olivia Dunham knows and remembers. Because of the spoiler preview at the end of the season premiere we know that she will have recollections of her meeting with William Bell. Olivia has developed a supernatural ability of enhanced hearing. This hearing allows her to hear absolutely everything, but she also has the power to zone out. Maybe if this power to be enhanced she would be able to read minds. Unfortunately the mind reading ability has been overdone with law enforcement shows & films.

An explosive season premiere with an introduction of a new agent. The death of Charlie Francis, where the Terminator esque character kills him and takes over his shape. Speaking of Terminator the whole idea of a machine from another reality or space coming to our reality and shape shifting, does remind you of Terminator. For me the highlight of this episode is when Dunham crashes right through the window of the SUV. Fringe just makes everything appear so very real. Everything that happens in Fringe has a just cause and reasoning behind it.

Coming back to the death of Charlie Francis, the new cyborg no longer has his machine. Which means that he will have to stay in that state for the rest of his mission. His current objective is to kill Olivia Dunham. In the preview it appears that he has to extract even more information.

Dunham does loose her memory, but i believe there is a significance to her finally being able to load her gun. It gives her a renewed sense of belief that she might remember. William Bell is one very elusive character, which we got a few seconds of face time in the last season finale. In the preview it also shows that Bell speaks of Dunham’s abilities. Cortexafan is a drug that Dunham and a few others were exposed to in Bell & Bishop’s earlier human trials. This drug allowed her to turn lights on and off, thus allowing her to diffuse this bomb.

On another note we also feel this kind of hierarchy about the Fringe Division. It reminds us that these people are still part of the United States Government, and are being funded an unimaginable amount of funding. Now we learn, that the Fringe division is supposed to bring results not for National Security but for weapons and arms technology for the country. Peter Bishop does hand over a revolutionary piece of technology, but we don’t know it’s limitations. Maybe the technology only works for cyborgs and not humans. Who knows, maybe this machine might be a human from the other world, a soldier.

This soldier goes to the shop to communicate through a type writer. This type writer seems to be from the other space and time. How does it work? And how does the mirror work? The cyborg is a shape shifter, and doesn’t know Francis’ past. If asked for protocols or recollections, it wouldn’t know what to say. It would have to improvise, and i think that will end up making Francis go on the run sooner or later. We also have to be reminded of his widow, who he has to come home to.

The junior agent Amy Jessup is introduced to the Fringe Division by being on the scene where Dunham flies through the car. Jessup is connecting the dots between the incidents and the holy bible.

Fringe has started to ask allot of new questions. The shows producer J.J. Abrams accredited for the #1 show, ‘Lost’ continues to push the envelope in delivering quality shows. I’d also like to thank denidaniel who’s now doing the re-encodes for Season 2 @ HDBits. Hats off to him, i’m going to be waiting for the internal encodes this time around. The bitstarved scene encodes.

With the season finale one week away, J.J. Abrams has really delivered yet another stellar show. He also shamelessly uses Fringe to promote his new film Star Trek. This show comes back to Olivia Dunham, and her involvement in this ‘pattern’. Pyrotechnics, reminds me of Johnny Storm from the Fantastic Four. On another important note Walter walks away with The Observer, and Harris dies.

The beginning of the episode made us feel as if William Bell was innocent and wasn’t connected. The fact that Walter pushes for his innocence sends ripples to you, but then the fact that he doesn’t remember much of his past could have left out things that may implicate William Bell. We don’t know who Harris is speaking with. Although i read the synopsis for the next episode and it says that David Robert Jones (teleporter) returns. So he could have been talking with him, which means that Harris is complicit in the attacks taking place by the ZFT.

Nina Sharp’s late night visit to Philip Broyles tells us that they Nina has given Broyles additional information. When John Scott died, he said not to trust anyone, we’ve always though that Broyles was somehow involved. But his unconditional devotement to dig up dirt on Massive Dynamics makes it contrary. He did ask Massive Dynamics for allot of help, over the course of their investigations. Without Massive Dynamics they wouldn’t have had as many closures and as many deaths, and understanding of how the occurances were happening.

Clint Howard from Star Trek does a cameo in this episode of Fringe for shameless promotion of Star Trek. I watched Fringe live on CTV and at the beginning of each commercial there was a trailer for Star Trek. They even repeated the commercial a few times back2back. So Clint Howard says, “I am the son of Sarek” in which Peter Bishop replies, “so that makes you Spock”. I don’t follow Star Trek at all, but even as a bystander i found it very unorthodox. To the point i looked it up, and found Abrams crude side.

On a happy note, FOX has decided to let Fringe run for a second season this Monday. Production is going to Canada, ‘yea’. But why British Columbia? We need them in Toronto! After letting the show lead-out of American Idol, it’s so much easier to watch Fringe. Looking forward to the season finale! It should be interesting, also looking forward to seeing William Bell. What will they do without Walter? It looks like it’s going to be an episode that won’t be looking for answers but it will be more exploiting and asking more questions.

This episode of Fringe is basically a precursor to an explosive episode 19. The preview at the end just makes you gloat with happiness. Why did they call it Midnight? Does the spinal fluid hybrid vampire only kill at midnight? Is there some sort of lunar connection that they totally missed out? I felt left in the dark because we don’t have any literal connection to the episode title based on the content.

So the episode starts off, by misleading us that the attack was because of a tactical knife. But in reality it was vicious bit marks. The intro was really arousing and for kids who just finished watching American Idol it is really inappropriate. The twists and turns don’t end their, at the bar the lady look as if she’s single but she already has a date. He falls victim to the hybrid vampire.

Earlier the crippled scientist said that his wife lost all her memory. I’m interested to see how he was able to control his wife? As well as how he lost control? Astrid doesn’t look like the clubbing type, but her information does infer that she does drink. It would be cool to see that side of Astrid. For the most part this episode was a filler, i watched it several days after the air. Mainly because there were no advertisements for Fringe on television and i had to prioritize some other things.

I’m going to keep this one short, mainly because there isn’t much to talk about. But William Bell seems to be the topic of interest. Fringe fails, because it doesn’t deliver the same impact that William Bell is involved in ZFT. With Lost, the name Charles Whitmore or Benjamin Linus would hit you hard in the head. But we’ve never seen William Bell, and if they didn’t say he was the owner of Massive Dynamics some of us who heard the name 10 months ago wouldn’t have understood. Walter did talk about Bell, so maybe they used that to allude to Bell’s involvement with ZFT. It’s all a bit gray, but for me the highlight was the sneak peak to next week’s episode. After a long time we see ‘The Observer’ actually talk instead of just walking by frames, as if a ghost in the background.
