We saw Simon briefly on his computer with a bracelet reading Annabelle. Who is she? This episode has exploded so many new questions. What’s the significance of the FlashForwards now? We may need more explanation as to the rules. How much can deviate? Al’s MI6 partner said that if the bird didn’t hit that glass, it would have hit another one. How much of this is true? With the FlashForwards we know with certainty that events are going to occur. But can those events happen differently? Will Demetri die on a different day? Die a different cause?

The single most awkward moment in television history. Lloyd comes to the Benford’s residence and realizes that this is where his FlashForward happens. And figures out that he had a relationship with Olivia in his FlashForward. Benford sets the ground rules and shake his hand. He later admits to Olivia about his drinking problems. They are really hyping this up; did he “Chris Browner” Olivia while he was intoxicated? Cause bodily harm?

Mark Enforce finally tells Stan Wedeck that he was drunk in his FlashForward; Olivia is also tipped off about his condition. Mark said that he hasn’t had a drink in 7 years? We may have a FlashBack of Mark to fully understand how bad his alcoholism affected him. Did he drink and drive? kill someone? cause bodily harm? Mark said, “Olivia would leave him if he started drinking”.

Stan Wedeck was so indulged with his own embarrassing FlashForward he failed to fully understand Benford’s. With the closing scene where Stan, Demetri, Mark & Janis are ambushed by what appears to be Asians. Janis is shot and has failing vitals on the street. If her FlashForward is real, she will survive.

“We need to talk … But talking to me is just one of those little inconveniences, that you’re going to have to put up with now that we’re responsible for the single greatest disaster in human history.” – Simon. Lloyd Simcoe’s involvement in the blackout doesn’t make sense. Because he himself experienced the FlashForward, and if he knew of the blackout why wasn’t he able to save his wife? protect his son?

FlashForward, only has rich material in the last few seconds of each episode. This episode was almost entirely filler, and unnecessary. There trip to Indio was a waste of time! Did they really have to go that far for Demetri to open up to Mark about his murder on March 10, 2010?

Olivia Benford is going through a crisis, where she is in denial of her FlashForward. Lloyd Simcoe does admit that his FlashForward didn’t mean anything to him. Lloyd did not see Olivia, whereas Olivia saw Lloyd. This FlashForward is definitely not a dream because the parties involved both had the exact same FlashForward. Because of Olivia’s denial she almost kills a patient, because she didn’t want to use his FlashForward to diagnose him with addison’s disease.

The reference to the Black Swan, “it’s a metaphor used to describe highly impact event, something so rare it’s beyond the normal realm of human expectation; it comes from the 17th century when scientist assumed that all swans were white, they were wrong” – Blonde Terrorist. It appears that the Blonde terrorist is much more involved in the blackout. As of now, they have no warrants or any material evidence to hold her. Having said that, everyone’s need for answers supersedes her constitutional rights.

The significance of this episode is that the blackout has happened before. It happened in October 1991 @ the Southern Ganwar region of Somalia. The Doctors traveled to the area in response to claims that the inhabitants suffered mass loss of consciousness. The last scene in this episode just shows a barely visible cloud in the sky moving. Is the boy just simply looking at the sky? Marat Gaziev posted what he believes is the connection between the crows and the blackout. In North America we know that the humans and crows are affected by the West Nile Virus. West Nile Virus has many symptoms one of which is the West Nile Meningitis. “This causes an inflammation of the protective membrane covering the brain and is most often associated with symptoms such as confusion and altered consciousness.“

BND Liason, Stephan Griegar says,”Your country eradicated it’s Indigenous Indian population and practiced institutionalized slavery for over 250 years”. When the FBI agents made a comment about Nazi Germany. Obviously because this happened centuries ago, we cannot put fault at the present-day Americans but, it did happen. In the pilot episode there were postulations that some people were sleeping during their FlashForward. Demetri’s fiance appears to have been dreaming of her FlashForward and so has Mark’s sponsor. Some people may have seen themselves winning the lottery or may have seen themselves flying or doing supernatural things.

D. Gibson went from a note on the wall to being involved in the blackout. He had made a phone call 30 seconds into the blackout to Subject-Zero at the baseball stadium. We still don’t fully understand why the blackouts happened, how the FlashForwards occurred. Charlie Benford must have not only seen D. Gibson, but she might have been kidnapped along with Dhillon Simcoe. But why were Lloyd and Olivia together why their children were in harms way. Demetri’s non-existent FlashForward had a reasoning behind it. He recieved a phone call from a women who said he’s going to be murdered on March 15th, 2010.

The story touches on allot of mindblowing topics. With shows like Heroes where a selective group of people have supernatural abilities. In this show, everyone caught a 02:17 glimpse of their future. Will they change it? Will they pursue it? How has seeing the future changed their lives? Would you want to look into your future? Demetri who didn’t see anything, knows that he’s going to die. Will he lock himself up in a high-security facility for the duration of March 15th?

ABC Studios has learned allot of from Lost, and have delicately made their endings cliffhangers. And this ending was no different, i felt like my head was about to explode. Charlie tells her father Mark that D. Gibson is a very bad man. The look on Mark’s face,was no where near as appalling as the one on mine. FlashForward has put itself way out infront of other poorer running series. I literally laughed out loud when Standford Wedeck described himself giving a lip-lock CPR on a man, who just drowned himself in his own urine during the blackout. He was not only taking a dump during the blackout, but he saw himself taking a dump during his FlashForward. I’ve never been this interested in a series ever since Lost.

This was one of the best pilots i’ve ever seen. A breathtaking way to start this refreshing new series. Just like how Fringe is the new X-Files, FlashForward is the new Lost. The difference is more in style and direction, having the same supernatural unexplainable phenomena. My posts have always been somewhat of a spoiler, but the last few minutes of the show were cliffhanger endings. When everyone blacked out, there was one person walking through the stadium. He or She was unaffected, and wore a long dark jacket. The surveillance video only shows in black and white and has very little resolution and clarity. The dots start connecting because Mark Benford seems to have seen these individuals during his FlashForward.

I was very observant while watching this episode, because like Lost there are allot of clues. Anything and everything that is within the visual space is important, it has significance. April 29, 2010 is the date that everyone FlashForwarded to. Could it be that on April 29, 2010 is the season finale, where we actually come to D-Day? I don’t know if Bad Robot (Lost Productions) is somehow working with FlashForward. But i saw a banner for Oceanic Airlines. It would be interesting if because of the black out the Oceanic 816 crashed on the island. Sonya Walger also played Penelope Whitmore in Lost. The show has an amazing cast including: John Cho, Zachary Knighton, Joseph Fiennes & many more.

For me the trailers and promotions for FlashForward somewhat ruined the experience. The trailer was somewhat of a spoiler: Olivia Bedford would be with Lloyd Simcoe. Lloyd’s son appears to know who Olivia was after the blackout. In the following episode it appears that Olivia and Lloyd will meet up at the hospital. Because everyone’s conscience was one they would recognize each other. Making for a very awkward situation. Demetri Noh’s says that he doesn’t have a FlashForward. There could be two reasons as to why he doesn’t have one: he’s dead or he’s lying. I know it’s early and we have very little evidence, but i believe that Demetri knows something about the future. Could it be possible that Demetri was one of the people who were trying to kill Mark Bedford?

Both of them got into the accident, but Demetri was not found in the vehicle, whereas Mark was pinned down. It’s also important that we understand the significance of the sticky notes which were on his office wall. The sticky notes match the ones that Demetri wrote. Which means that this FlashForward is cyclical in nature. That’s the mindblowing part of this episode. The fact that the notes that were being pinned on his wall were a result of the FlashForward. If it were for the FlashForward the events would not have occurred. I’m beginning to like the term FlashForward, it’s better than “blackout”.

Dominic Monaghan who played Charlie in Lost will be in the following two episodes according to IMDB. IMDB & Epguides.com only have information for 8 episodes including the pilot. Anyways i’m very very impressed with this pilot. I have seen many pilots over the past few months and they have all been satisfactory or very poor. But overtime they grew on me. With FlashForward i instantaneously fell in love.
