Natasha Shneider co-wrote the song shortly before her death; she fought cancer alongside long-time partner Alain Johannes. It gives the song so much more importance and meaning. Natasha died writing this track, her legacy lives on through Lambert’s vocals.

I’d like to thank TheDaftMonk @ what.cd, who fulfilled my request for this album. If there was an album i’d buy it’s Ben Deignans’, because it’s not available anywhere online. If i didn’t get a reply within a few days i was going to get myself a gift card and buy them myself.

The tracks are all from iTunes AAC 256kpbs CBR, and really good quality. It’s the only quality that’s available at the moment. His CD is also available, i might purchase it in the near future to get some Lossless archives.

05. Empire State of Mind – Alicia Keys
“now your in New York … these streets will make you feel brand new … big lights will inspire you .. lets here it for New York …” If this doesn’t get a Yorker going bananas i don’t know what will. This song is dedicated specifically for New York, Jay-Z’s experiences. Alicia Key’s vocal are seriously gut wrenching. Her octaves literally reach to the top of the Empire State of Building.

11. Already Home – Kid Cudi
Wow! Omg, instrumental masterpiece. Rap and classical musical colliding in ways that only Jay-Z can do. Kid Cudi’s vocals work like clockworks in this track. The song could be used in an epic cinematic film.

12. Hate – Kanye West
Kanye has the most haters? I doubt it. But they have really used the most # of rhymes for Haters. “we blasting off just like a laser … nigga .. pew pew pew”. There is also a hint of autotune in the track. Anyways very interesting stuff happening at around 01:00.

15. Young Forever – Mr. Hudson
‘do you really want to live forever young’ … This is the last and yet the best song in the track. Mr. Hudson’s vocal really steal the track, and brings a new taste to the album. The rest of is just Jay-Z somewhat barking in rap. Awesome song!

01. When Love Takes Over – Kelly Rowland

When i first heard this song on the radio i turned it off because it had Coldplay’s Clocks sample. Which is one of my all-time favourite coldplay songs. I gave this song another try and it actually works really well with Kelly Rowland’s vocal and the dance background. This is definitely one of my favourite tracks in this album.

02. Gettin’ Over – Chris Willis

This song has David Guetta – Love is Gone’s sample. I love the sample, but hate the techno garbage that follows. Unfortunately this track falls to the same fat at 01:11. If there was a mix that had that random techno part edited, i’d listen to it.

03. Sexy B!tch – Akon

I was turned off in the beginning because of how derogative against women. Then i heard Sexy Chick on the airwaves, and actually gave the song a try. The beat, and rhythm is just mindblowing. David Guetta has really pulled out all the stops to make a free flowing masterclass track. He churns Akon’s vocal and it works like clockworks. If your at a club, and aren’t turned ON by this…

04. Memories – Kid Cudi

This tracks is more thoughtful, it’s like storytelling. This track would’ve gone very well with kanYe’s 808s & Heartbreak album. It’s got a bit of kanYe in it. This song is getting released as a single on August 24 so it might be interesting to see the response. This song also reminds me of Kid Cudi’s Day N’ Nite.

05. Missing You – Novel

Yet another Love Is Gone sample with the same crappy techno at 00:54. The song itself is really good, except for this really distasteful techno bit. It’ll get you up off your feet, but as soon as that techno part comes on you’ll just sit down. Novel’s vocal the way he roles missing you any more. But because of the lame techno i’ll be ignoring this song. I’m really looking forward to a mix which will edit that crap out. I’ll literally make the part of the song into my ringtone.

06. It’s The Way You Love Me – Kelly Rowland

It’s an okay track, almost filler for this soundtrack. That is probably why David Guetta doesn’t have this song being released as a single. Although 02:35 it does get a bit interesting. It’s just her vocals, and her controlling the song rather than the instrumentals. But then we go back to the chorus which makes the song fail.

07. Choose – Ne-Yo & Kelly Rowland

At 00:32 it’s a big turn off, we get this utter techno intro. The instrumentals are controlling the song. They are literally breathing and reading the lyrics. Interestingly enough he doesn’t have this track to be released as a single.

08. On the Dancefloor – Will.I.Am & Apl De Ap

Sounds like a remix that is way overdone. This song is near impossible to listen to. It’s definitely for the trance, house & techno fans.

09. I Gotta Feeling (FMIF Edit) – Black Eyed Peas

In the beginning it sounds kind of like a stripped down of the original. And it has some nice drums at 00:57. But at 01:08 David Guetta kills it with a random techno injection. The new techno just clashes with the original, and doesn’t help it. I really hate the way FMIF edit has killed one of my favourite tracks. David Guetta actually produced the original, well it does have the Love is Gone sample.

10. One Love – Estelle

I’m a big fan of Estelle, and she’s done so well with this track. The single is also being released Aug 21, 2009. It’s going to be really big song. If you think American Boy was good? wait till you hear One Love. It’s got a calypso esque techno beat, that will just move your hips while listening to it. I’m absolutely feeling this track, i mean after 5 crappy songs in a row in the album. One Love this is the way we found … even they’ll let you down … nobody’s perfect.

11. Sound of Letting Go – Feat. Tocadisco & Chris William

Yet another filler track. 02:02 there was some good bits. But overall the instrumentals overpower the vocals. It just doesn’t work.

12. I Wanna Go Crazy – Will.I.Am

Yea it’s just filler. I think Will.I.Am did this in turn for The E.N.D. Similar interleaves were used in this song. But definitely not a great song.

13. Toyfriend – Wynter Gordon

Wynter has a bit of arabic style vocal rolling at the end of her tongue. 01:11 song is ruined by ‘bounce’, but get backs inorder in 01:26 w/ Wynter Gordon taking over. But random instrumental intervals somewhat ruin the song. We get the bounce instrumental again @ 02:00.

14. If We Ever – Makeba

Makeba gets a auto-tune vocal tweek in this song. Low tempo intro is just gut wrenching and sounds too awesome. This is first time i’m listening to Makeba’s vocal. Well during the chorus the background is somewhat static and it’s somewhat of a turn off. Damn, this song would have been good if it didn’t have that.

Kanye himself is in this video, he’s chilling on the big hand on the clock. He’s bobbing his head overseeing what’s going on. The Fray are scribbled onto a page and end up being thrown out. The girl who in question doesn’t seem to notice the boy. But at the end of the video she notices his heart kind of radiating to her. It’s a complex video with allot of story attached to it. This is my first impression of the video. I really want The Fray to make this song a single. It could be the next Ayo Technology by Millow. Honestly the way this song was redone is just simply awesome and it transports it to higher levels. There have been many covers of this song, but the Fray really out did it. However Kris Allen also did a great cover of the song as well.

I can start off by saying that the video rendering is similar to Kanye West’s “Welcome To Heartbreak”. The film is really Joe Hahn material, he’s really an amazing director. We also have never-before seen clips from the Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen film. There are clips showing our ancestors in primitive forms, which alludes that the robots have been to our planet along time ago. There is a popular Sunshine Version of ‘Leave Out All The Rest’ on YouTube. Sunshine is a Danny Boyle 05’ film which in my opinion is the best sci-fi film of 2005.

For me there isn’t allot missing, but in the making of ‘New Divide’ video, it shows the band being jerked around by wires. And we don’t see much of the jerking around in the video. We also have a unknown female in the video, a friend of mine suggested it could be Megan Fox. But i highly doubt that Megan would have been involved in the video, because the model is lip syncing the lyrics. She could just be that, a model.

Although for many this video maybe grossly tainted by the explosion of video rendering. However, I feel sorry for the person who had to watch all this render, because it really needs a super computer for anyone in video-editing. Although it really is a smart move to add the Transformers into the video because this means that the video will definitely be playing in Cineplex world-wide. I just can’t believe that the video comes out the day that i hear the song on the radio, FINALLY. It was on Edge 102.5, i don’t listen to this station that often, but today i just did.

This is the quite the video, i only wish it came in HD would archive for this one forever. We might get it as an extra in a possible Revenge of the Fallen Blu-Ray boxset. Awesome work to everyone at Linkin Park, and kudos to Joe Hahn for making a unique and seriously kick-ass video!

What makes this song work is the blaring rock edge fused with Spark’s RnB niche. Chorus is catchy, but this song works for me because it uses relationship in an epic war between two galactic empires. Honestly this song is Ryan Tedder’s work through and through. Comparing this song to Tattoo & No Air, Jordin has really broken boundaries. The line “You better go and get your armor” followed by high impact drums and guitar riffs will be on ringtones very soon. This song is almost made for gamers a bit. i don’t know it just might be me.

Her live performance with Ryan Tedder on American Idol was great. The music video is very disappointing. The first half is her in a no-name sports car in a happy field. It gets hardcore nearer to the end, with smoke and epileptic flashing lights. Very disappointed, she could have made something like ‘Shadow of the Day’ video.
