House – S06E01 – Broken

House – S06E01 – Broken

This is a completely different episode, where 80 minutes is completely dedicated to House. He’s the patient, and he’s also the doctor. There were allot of laughs and the script was written with care. One of the funnier moments are when House gets another patient to urinate for him, so that he could fake his drug test. He ended screwing himself over because he was actually on the Placebo. Some of the more shocking moments during the show was when the delusional dude jumped from the building. As well as when the violin girl spoke after a decade. What made my jaw drop was his room mate, because at first glance he looked like Edward Norton. But when the camera zoomed in, disappointment built and then anger when he started “rapping”. The girlfriend was somewhat eyecandy, she did a bit of justice during the sex-scene. If it wasn’t for the last part where House let her go, which inturn allowed him to leave the institution; It would have made the girlfriend character unnecessary. The Talent Show was also sub-par in terms of dramatic quality. The final rap at the end wasn’t as good, but House’s cake in the face was awesome.

Fringe – S02E01 – A New Day in the Old Town

Fringe – S02E01 – A New Day in the Old Town

An explosive season premiere with an introduction of a new agent. The death of Charlie Francis, where the Terminator esque character kills him and takes over his shape. Speaking of Terminator the whole idea of a machine from another reality or space coming to our reality and shape shifting, does remind you of Terminator. For me the highlight of this episode is when Dunham crashes right through the window of the SUV. Fringe just makes everything appear so very real. Everything that happens in Fringe has a just cause and reasoning behind it. (more…)

True Blood – S03E12 – Beyond Lies Here Nothin’

True Blood – S03E12 – Beyond Lies Here Nothin’

A very disappointing season finale for True Blood. Mary-Ann finally dies, and Bill Compton is kidnapped by Eric. We also learn that Eric is selling the Queen’s blood for her. Bill Compton does learn that Eric is selling vamp-blood, but he doesn’t know it’s the Queens. We do know some of the effects of humans drinking vamp-blood. It increases their hormones, heals but it also gives the vampire and the human a stimulating connection. Maybe the Queen is going to control allot of humans for some sort of war? The queen does have the characteristics of an Anti-Godric. I think that Season 4 will be much more about Vampire politics.

The Office delivers yet another Laugh Out Loud season. This one starts with Michael learning that Stanley is having an affair. Michael tries to dilute the rumor by creating even more rumors about everyone in the office. One of them actually happens to be true; Pam being pregnant. We did learn that Pam with last season finale. We are also introduced to 3 interns who most likely had the worst experience of their lives. The episode with Stanley hammering Michael’s car with a gold club. It appears that Stanley’s relationship is non-existent with his wife after this episode.

Very disappointing film. Dreamworks is just failing really hard these days. They can’t even touch Pixar! I only saw this film because of the all star voice-over casting: Hugh Laurie, Kiefer Sutherland, Rainn Wilson, Seth Rogen, Reese Witherspoon and many more. But at the end the witless story and poor climax, bummed it out. If your thinking about watching this film because of Pixar’s Monsters Inc. Don’t even bother that Pixar masterpiece is eons better than this Dreamworks steaming “you know what”.

True Blood – S02E11 – Frenzy

A much more informative episode, but The Queen is a very overrated character. She does appear to be the anti-Godric in the sense that she has a hunger for untainted blood. She also prides herself in her political connections talking about the Eisenhower administration. Her advice basically says to trick to Mary-Ann into believing that she is offering a supernatural but at that point she is mortal. It looks like there is going to be somewhat of a battle between Sam Merlotte or Suki Stackhouse being the staged or the actual victim. For a season finale? I daresay they might actually kill somebody and maybe Mary-Ann’s god might actually show up. (more…)

Teen Choice Awards 2009

Teen Choice Awards 2009

I wasn’t anticipating on seeing this but with a runtime of 01:24 it didn’t really hurt. Awesome performance from the Black Eyed Peas and some decent pranks and jokes to keep the night going. I’m not a big of these award shows but the films, shows and songs that are nominated or win have good ratings or downloads. One show that caught my attention was Gossip Girls. In living memory I don’t remember seeing a trailer or commercial for this show on TV. Haven’t even seen an advertisement on billboards or buses. Twilight won all the awards at the MTV movie awards and they did it again and this time 11 awards. I don’t even know why they bother nominating the overrated Slumdog Millionaire film. They’ve made Twilight into a chick flick, where the highlight of the film is seeing the guys topless. The target audience speaks for themselves; it’d be interesting to watch the Goblet of Fire, now that I have an OPEN MATTE re-encode of the film; to see Roberts performance. I dont know how man Twilight books there are but it might actually put up a fight at the box office. (more…)

The movie is simply not very good. It tries too hard in an attempt to have heavy twists in the plot. In the end it ends with a very lame twist which defeated the purpose of the entire film. In no way shape or form will this film give you a new experience. It will give you a very bland or stale one at best. Julia Roberts and her silicon valley is the highlight and is only seen in the first few minutes of the film, and never revisited again. Clive Owen seems to pick ludicrous films these days first it was The International followed by this? He needs to pick better scripts and better films altogether. Terrific actor, nevertheless.
